Art of Kilim
Art of Kilim
If you love unique designs and textures, then you will love this Art of Kilim shipment from Wrightwood Furniture. We loved this factory because they combine a mixture of time-honored textile technique with traditional floral styles and fun modern designs. The patterns are often combined bright colors or have patchwork throughout. One of the coolest pieces in the shipment is a Union Jack pouf that is made of the same materials that some Indian rugs are and the cotton is incredibly soft.
The Art of Kilim shipments has fabrics that are completely hand-woven. Kilim refers to a tapestry style commonly used in the Balkans, Pakistan, and India to produce rugs. The rugs can be purely decorative or used for prayer and religious meditation. We decided to highlight the utility of the Kilim technique and other great fabrics when we ordered Wrightwood’s creative accent pillows, poufs, and ottomans.
All of the poufs are stuffed with recycled wool. Not only is that eco-friendly, unlike petroleum derived foam rubber, its also naturally flame retardant with any harsh chemicals.
We have a strong of reverence for the cultures that brought us these beautiful works and so this collection is filled with statement accents, and Wrightwood’s signature sensibility.
